Internship Program

Summer Internship Program

About the program:

Our exciting and fast-paced internship program is based in Warrenton, Virginia, and made up of two components:

  1. weekly group work and leadership development activities at the PATH Foundation; and
  2. an outside placement with local government or nonprofit organization that serves our community.

Interns are assigned mission-advancing tasks at their nonprofit host agencies. Placements are made based on a variety of factors to include intern course of study, experience, and physical location. Diverse opportunities are made available by partner agencies that advance one of the Foundation’s four health priorities: access to health, childhood wellness, mental health, or senior services. Please note that placements may require additional background checks and/or health records for safety purposes.

In our program, interns will learn and be exposed to:

  • Real world knowledge of nonprofits, nonprofit capacity building and volunteer management.
  • Hands-on work with a variety of nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
  • Participation in regular organizational meetings and community events.
