Margy Eastham Announced as Fauquier Health Foundation Fall Intern

MPH candidate to work on issues dedicated to health and wellness

October 21, 2015 — Fauquier Health Foundation welcomes Fauquier County native Margy Eastham as its fall intern. Margy is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Virginia. During the program, she will focus on several programmatic areas, efforts that will correspond with her studies. Says Eastham, “As I pursue a career in helping others, whether that’s health specific or community based, interning for the Foundation is giving me a chance to explore that in a rural setting. It’s a great opportunity to help the area that I love with programs that can make a difference to the overall health and wellness.”

Margy’s experience make her a great match for the Foundation’s internship program. In addition to her studies in public health, she also completed an extensive volunteer stint with the Fauquier Free Clinic.   Christy Connolly, Foundation President and CEO said, “We’re very fortunate to have someone of Margy’s caliber working with the Foundation. We find great value in these opportunities for college students, and we look forward to continuing to grow our intern program in the coming years.”

Applications for the 2016 Spring Internship program will be available in early November, with a 2016 Summer Internship program announced in early 2016.
