Fauquier Health Foundation in Search of Feedback from Area Volunteers
Survey will assist organizations in their approach to volunteers
November 11, 2015 — The Fauquier Health Foundation (FHF) is distributing community surveys to learn more about volunteerism in Fauquier, Rappahannock and northern Culpeper Counties. Broad community input will help FHF develop strategies to assist agencies in strengthening their volunteer capacity. The first of the surveys was distributed to agencies that use volunteers. The second survey is for individuals throughout the community who currently volunteer in some capacity. Both surveys are short – requiring less than 10 minutes.
According to Christy Connolly, FHF president and CEO, “We have heard from many area agencies that they could do more if they had help with volunteer management issues. We are looking for ways to provide that help. The first steps are to hear and learn from the agencies and wonderful people who are out there volunteering.”
For the individuals who complete the survey, there will be an opportunity to enter their names in a drawing for a $100 contribution from the Foundation to their favorite nonprofit agency. One winner will be selected from each of the counties included in the survey. “We want to make it fun while at the same time encouraging as many agencies and residents as possible to participate,” said Connolly.
