PATH Foundation’s Response
- In the wake of COVID-19, the PATH Foundation and our surrounding community have been faced with finding solutions to ever-evolving problems. With the health and wellbeing of our residents at stake, we’re collaborating with partner organizations to help ease the burdens our community is facing. This page will be updated as we learn more information and ways to help.
- On June 29, we announced a new round of Community Resilience grants. This one-time grant cycle was created to help nonprofits facing financial difficulties from COVID-19 related circumstances. In total, $1.5 million in Community Resilience Grants were awarded. You can see the full list of Community Resilience Grant Recipients in our latest press release. To learn more information about this and other PATH Foundation grants, visit Our Grants page. Applications for Community Resilience grants are closed as of July 31, 2020.
- In addition to Community Resilience grants, we previously granted $816,000 in COVID-19 relief funding, for a total of $2.3 million in grants during the pandemic. A breakdown of previous grants is below:
- On May 10, we announced $206,500 in new, immediate COVID-19 response funding to local organizations
- On March 31 we announced $485,000 in immediate grant funding to respond to COVID-19 in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties.
- On March 13, $125,000 was granted in anticipation of community needs.
- To learn more and see the full list of previous recipients, please read our news release.
- Please remember to follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and the Virginia Department of Health.
- Many in our community have reached out asking how they can help. If you’re interested in learning what you can do, beyond the VDH and CDC guidelines, consider these options.
How can I help?
Volunteer
- Visit LetsVolunteer.org, our Volunteer Hub’s website. Volunteer needs are being posted there and are updated regularly. As requests for social distancing and self-quarantining grow, we ask that you follow CDC and VDH guidelines in volunteering. Priorities will shift for many organizations, and balancing the health of you and your family with the needs of others is critical.
- Connect with neighbors – via email, phone call, or a Viral Kindness card. Many people will need assistance while practicing self-isolation or quarantine. Needs will range from delivering food to simply offering time for conversation. You can print and fill out the Viral Kindness cards, located here, to get in touch with neighbors nearby.
- Connect with churches – Many churches are finding ways to help the community without gathering as a congregation. If your church is helping others, please let us know as we understand which efforts are already taking place.
- Check social media – Nonprofits may post information about their needs on social media.
Donate
