PATH Volunteer Center Announces Let’s Volunteer Day

Community-wide volunteer day slated for April 29

The PATH Volunteer Center is planning its first community-wide day of volunteering to benefit communities in Fauquier, Rappahannock and Culpeper Counties. Saturday, April 29, will be the day to gather as a community to see how much we can accomplish in one day.

We need your help to make Let’s Volunteer Day have a big impact. Let’s Volunteer Day is perfect for individuals or groups of families, friends, churches and student clubs to sign up to make a real difference for your community. Find the project you’d like to tackle – sign up and note the details of time and location. On April 29, participants will go straight to particular project site to get started.

With 20 projects are currently listed, with more added daily. A wide range of projects are open to volunteers – including assistance requested at Spilman Park Disc Golf Course, the Fauquier SPCA, Community Touch, Fauquier FISH, Fauquier Community Food Bank, Verdun Adventure Bound, Clifton Institute, Allegro Community School of the Arts and more.

To be a part of this great community event, visit the website and register for the area you plan to help the day of the event.

All participants will get a free t-shirt to thank them for their participation.

Since opening in November 2016, the PATH Volunteer Center has been working towards this day as almost 60 nonprofits using volunteers have listed more than 150 ongoing volunteer opportunities. Just a few months in, those numbers continue to grow.
